xlwings Live Webinar: The New Remote Interpreter

The recent release 0.27 added support for the remote interpreter across:

  • Excel on Windows (Desktop)

  • Excel on macOS (Desktop)

  • Excel on the web

  • Google Sheets

This allows you to get rid of the biggest friction when deploying xlwings-based tools: having to install a local Python distribution on each end-user's machine.

In this webinar, I'll touch upon the following topics:

  • What's the advantage/disadvantage of a remote interpreter

  • Local development with Desktop Excel

  • Remote deployment of the Python interpreter

  • Move Excel to the cloud: Google Sheets and Excel on the web
