Track Changes in Power Queries and Named Ranges
We recently updated our Excel version control system xltrail with two of the most frequently requested features:
Track Power Queries (see screenshot)
Track Named Ranges
This complements the tracking of cell values and formulas as well as VBA code. Additional content will be tracked in the future, we'll keep you posted on this channel.
xlwings: Recent Updates
This year, xlwings has had 15 releases so far. Some of the highlights include:
Simplified add-in installation: What used to be one of the major hiccups when installing xlwings is now as easy as it gets: Run "xlwings addin install" on a command line and you're all set. The best part is that it now works on Windows and macOS and auto-configures itself during the setup.
Simplified code embedding (PRO version): Source code can now be embedded with a simple "xlwings code embed" command.
Show Console (Windows-only for now): You can now easily see what's going on by showing the command prompt. Simply activate the respective check box in the add-in.
