xlwings Newsletter #15

xlwings PRO

xlwings PRO

Last week, we officially launched xlwings PRO. It adds the following features to xlwings CE:

  • Dedicated support via email, phone, screenshare

  • Access to video training

  • Additional features like embedded code (see below). More to come based on your feedback (simply reply to this email with your suggestion).

  • Access to xlwings Reports

  • Priority with regards to bug fixes and feature requests

  • Continued support for Python 2.7

Embedded Python code

The first feature of xlwings PRO is the ability to store your Python code directly within your spreadsheet. This makes it a lot easier to deploy - no more extra Python files to send around!Simply rename a sheet to have a ".py" ending and xlwings will happily use this as your source code. Unlike with the VBA Editor, you even get line numbers...

xlwings Reports is now part of xlwings PRO

Save yourself from having to manually reformat the dynamic parts of your reports and make use of the advanced templating mechanism provided by xlwings Reports.
