3rd xlwings meetup London: Agenda

Tomorrow is the 3rd xlwings meetup in London. It promises to become the biggest event so far thanks to our guest speakers:

Talk 1: Creating a trading strategy backtest in Python/Excel with finmarketpy and xlwings, Saeed Amen (Founder at Cuemacro)

In our talk, we'll show how to download market data from sources like Quandl and Bloomberg. We'll use this data to show how to backtest some trend following trading rules using the open source finmarketpy library. Lastly, we'll connect Excel to finmarketpy using xlwings, to show how to use Excel as a front end for our Python based backtesting calculation.

Talk 2: Connecting data and applications in real time - including Excel, David Jones (CTO at ipushpull)

Talk 3: Excel Reporting with Python, Felix Zumstein (Creator of xlwings)

According to our survey from the beginning of last year, the majority of users are using xlwings for reporting (amongst other things). I'll show a few tricks for a better reporting experience and present our new add-on "xlwings REPORTS" for even more power!
